Fremont is top dog at City-County Invitational By JUSTIN JOHNSON Standard-Examiner correspondent OGDEN - The strength of the Wolf is in the pack. Such is Fremont coach Art Hansen's motto. Hansen's Silver Wolves swept the boys and girls titles in the annual City-County Invitational cross country meet at the Weber County Fairgrounds on Wednesday afternoon. The 'Wolves' victory on the girls side of the meet was the at least the seventh in a row, while Fremont's boys victory dethroned defending champ Weber. Weber was fourth, followed by Bonneville, St. Joseph and Roy. "We were running in some tough conditions today, the course was muddy and wet, and there was some really good individual runners here, which really challenged my girls," said Hansen of the girls portion of the meet. "It was good, we really needed that kind of a challenge heading into the region meet next week." Fremont's Lexie Meyer won the individual title, coming in with a time of 19:37. Ogden's Katie Adams was second, followed by Ben Lomond's Angeline Sargent, Fremont's Katie Chugg and Ogden's Shaylee Stegen. "We feel really good to win this meet," Meyer said.
