Show 5 FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER Officers 19, 1969 HIGHLANDER MEET Bonnie Lassies Off Plan Big Year THE SCOTS To Good Start “Well Scots, it looks like we’re in for another big year, and we hope a better year than we’ve ever had before at Ben Lomond. The Bonnie Lassies have already begun a successful year by marching in the Peach Day Parade over the 24th and 25th of last month. They also participated in the Bon Marche Fashion Show and in our game with Box Elder. As the student body officers at Ben Lomond, we are going to do our best to put Ben Lomond at the top in everything. We have quite a few assemblies planned for this year, and we hope to have a lot of parties and activities such as Scots’ Week this year. As far as Dance Clan is concerned, it would be pretty hard to top last year, but we’re planning on having just as many if not more than last year. They’re having a car wash on Saturday some time during the month. The officers are Shannon Fluckiger, president; Jan Schneiter, secretary; Jan Blanch, historian; Carole Thorsted, Drill Mistress; Roxanne Horspool, Co-Drill Mistress; and Miss Mower, advisor. We're also planning on having some great football games in our new stadium and we feel that if we can fill that stadium with Scots for each game that Ben Lomond might go all the way to the state championship. The Bonnie Lassies will be in a special show with the band and Pep Club at our Iron Horse game. They are selling pens for 25 cents each. Please try and help them out by going to the car wash and purchasing a pen. After all, they are working for you. All in all, we feel that if we students at Ben Lomond unite together in one clan, that nothing can keep the Ben Lomond Scots from going all the way to the top in everything.” —The Studentbody Officers Pep Club—The Pep Club has been selling candy and food at lunch time.
