The Scots put on a show of great team balance and depth as they rolled up a total of 109 points in the annual event on : the Ben Lomond track Friday. Highly regarded Ogden High finished second with 83 points, Roy had 40, Bonneville 37 and Weber 33. Ben Lomond rolled up a total of seven first place finishes, but it was a matter of having more second and third place finishes that gave it the edge it needed to roar past Ogden. SET NEW RECORD Ben Lomond’s smooth running John Wolthuis set a new record in the 880 when he streaked around the course in the time of 1:58.2. Another Ben Lomond ace, distance star Danny Walker, rambled the distance in 4:27.9 | to set a new record in the mile. Walker beat his nearest rival by. at least 100 yards. Music Department Does Well A Cappella, 1-minus. Girls’ Choir, 2-plus. Mixed Chorus, 2. Bonnie Aires, 2-plus. The Band and Orchestra stayed the same as last year and were rated Superior. Their ratings were as follows: Band, 1-minus. Orchestra. 1. A 1 is for Superior. A 2 is for Excellent. A 3 is for Good. The yearly ROTC awards|Month: been given out. Of these boys, two were chosen for special awards— Randy Thompson, Cadet of the Year, and Craig Lundell received the Brave Laddie Cup. Gary Liptrot received the Outstanding Leadership. Award. The Outstanding Citizenship Award was presented to Mike Wililams.
