December 3rd and 4th will be the dates and parents are encouraged to drop by during the evening hours . . . 7:00 to 9:00. All areas of homemaking will be on exhibit including the boys’ foods. Boys from this department will be ushers and on the refreshments. Not a bad idea, eh girls? Louise Liecht is chairman and Dianna Cates is co-chairman. They have been planning and working for weeks. Tim for Cratchit—Mike Golden Spike Concert Set for Nov. 18 at 8 p.m. On Tuesday, Nov. 18, the traditional Golden Spike Concert will take place at the Weber State College at 8 p. m. It will be the fourth of these concerts. The orchestra consists of three groups, the senior-, junior- and chamber orchestra. The members of this honor orchestra come from Northern Utah. They are a select group, because they have to try out for membership. Several students from Ben Lomond are taking part and Mr. Archibald is the leader of the clarinet section. Joan Lemmon is concertmaster, Scott Ballantyne is cellist and Kim Wade is principal. Other Ben Lomond members are Kent Watkins, Gale Fergensen, Frank Montierth, Scott Amos, Raymond Ward, Joyce Wangsgard, Vaun Gunnell, Robin Coward, Blake Corbridge, Dan Organ and Marcia Toller. The school orchestra will take part in the Christmas parade on Dec. 22. To the committee, which is in charge of the course, belong Alvin Gabelsen, Wynn Costley and Roxanne Hellstrom. Clemons. Four Ben Lomond Students to Compete on KSL Quiz Show On November 22, 1969, four Scots will represent Ben Lomond on KSL’s (Channel 5) High School quiz show, ““Young Americans.” The four students representing Ben Lomond are Dave Jones (social studies), Shannon Fluckiger (art and music), John Wolthuis (English) and Cheryll Higham (science and math). These students will compete against another Utah high school. If they win they will have a chance to be on the program again at a later date.
