MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE CITY HISTORY March 2007 Residents were reminded of the residential garbage service which will begin on April 2, 2007, for those changing to Waste Management. For residents changing from Allied Waste, the last pick-up day is March 29. Waste Management will drop off the new container on that day also. Allied will pick up their containers on March 30, so containers should be left roadside. No City Council Meeting was held on Thursday, March 15, 2007, as there were no agenda items for consideration by the council. The Planning Commission Meeting was held on March 20, 2007, and considered site plans that were presented. A free cholesterol and glucose screening for senior citizens was held at the senior center on March 27, 2007, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. This free service gives valuable information in monitoring one's health. A Yoga class for seniors is held at the senior center every Friday. Bits and Pieces Hunter Daniel Zinz, son of Daniel and Dana Zinz, was born March 15, 2007. Dennis Mecham won 2nd in state for his weight class at 152 lbs. in wrestling. Summer Okey was named 2nd Attendant in the Miss Weber County Queen Contest. 104
