Show Monday, January 14, 1935 14th Day 351 Days to come Martha Cooley and Rose Nielson my counselors spent an hour or more here this afternoon on Relief Society Board business regarding new board member. Junior at lunch with Pap & I. At four P.M. I went to Salt Lake City with Royal and Cleone to hear the great violinist Heifetg. I think he is wonderful. Jack Hancock met us at the concert. A great many from Ogden were in attendance. We arrived home late and after retiring I could not sleep so about 2 A.M. I took a tablet for sleep so finally slept soundly until 8 A M We had a nice letter from Mary Ann she is now 84 yr old and has been operated by cataract this winter can now see fine and writes a fine letter Tuesday, January 15, 1935 15th Day 350 Days to come Dr was ready to go to the hospital when I awoke. I cooked lunch, we ate alone. Dr took Mrs Rose Nielson and I to Relief Society in 9 & 14 Wards. Dr Junior talked at the 10th Ward Mutual tonight. It is snowing some tonight Mrs Reva Beck Basone a lawyer was elected Democratic floor leader of the Utah Legislators. The first women to be honored this in Utah. |
