Show Friday, June 7, 1935 158th Day 207 Days to come Am preparing to go on a trip to Mesa Verde National Park and the Natural Bridges of Utah tomorrow Dr & I Myrene, Cleone & Cleone II will go by auto. Wrote to Janath. She will graduate from Columbus Ohio High School June 11th. She is a very bright and lovly girl sixteen yr old. Saturday, June 8, 1935 159th Day 206 Days to come At six A.M. Dr, Myrene, Cleone, Cleone Jr, and I left for a trip to see the Natural Bridges in Southern Utah. We ate our lunch in a nice park at Price Utah and noon Then drove to Blanding arriving there about five P.M. met Mr Jeik Johnson who drove with us to Bluff where we saw the remains of a once prosperous town at one time the richest town in Utah according to its population in number, now owing to drouth & the San Jaun River changing its course the poorest. Saw some unusual Rocks the Navajo Twins Returned to Blanding & had dinner and stayed over night at a farm house Hotel, An interesting day and every one happy. Pap & the girls took turns driving except for detour for me Roads good |
