Show Tuesday, July 23, 1935 204th Day 161 Days to come Went down to see the Parade thousands on the streets. Spent most of the after noon at the Boy Scout office as they are going to try & sell D.U.P. cards tonight at the Rodeo. Mayor Peery gave me a pass in the Show for ten boys. Have had a buisy day. A letter from Cloteel. Wednesday, July 24, 1935 205th Day Pioneers Day (Utah) 160 Days to come This A M at nine I went to Pioneer Hall to arrange for serving the Pioneers at noon Just after the Parade in which they rode as special guests in new autos. We served Ice cream, Cake, Candy & iced soda water to 125 or more All went over fine, The Sons of Pioneers helped us for the first time and were very helpful & nice. Mr Chugg & Mr Ben Chrichlow & Mr Larsen their Chairman. Some short talks were given by Mrs Chris Flygare, Mr Larsen Mr Faulger, Pres Dora Holther and I To night is the finish of the Celebration & the third night of the Rodeo Thousand have been unable to get seats, We could not so Junior & drove where we could see a part of the fire works. It is estimated that Mayor Peery cleared 12000. |
