Show Tuesday, August 6, 1935 218th Day Transfiguration 147 Days to come Youngs Ranch Greys River Very quiet and peaceful here though we each had a bed it (nine) was very uncomfortable however I was so tired, sick etc that I took the two poor beds and with the sheet, blankets & pillor we had made quite a good clean bed and stayed in it most all day and enjoyed it. Have had three small cups of malted milk today and Dr has had three good meals with the Youngs. They are very hospital & kind only wish I too could enjoy meals with them. Dr took all our provisions down to them. Dr went fishing no luck. Wednesday, August 7, 1935 219th Day 146 Days to come Greys River Dr got up early & had breakfast with Youngs. We both slept better last night. It is real cool so cool that it is not pleasant to read in bed until late in the day so I have slept all morning and had a good rest. Dr and Sam Jr went fishing & had a nice catch. I have had malted milk twice but his evening I ate some fish. It was delicious but did not do me any good I guess for I am more resolved than ever to stay with milk. We spent the evening at Youngs. They have two fine boys who do not smok or drink. They are now men. Their little girls three yrs old is very smart & cute. |
