Saturday, October 19, 1935 292nd Day 73 Days to come M Helena Earth Quake continues I have had a buisy day doing house work. This evening the first meeting of Mount Ogden Stake Annual Relief Society Convention was held here in my home. Those present were Lydia Alder of the R.S. General Board. Bro W. Critchlow of the Stake Pres. And 100 of our Board members. I gave a ten min. talk on the Presidents department in Union Meeting as I always have charge of that Dept. Three other Board members each gave a 5 min talk on their department. Sister Alder gave some fine instructions. Sunday, October 20, 1935 293rd Day 18th Sunday after Trinity Richards B. Rich is 8 yr old today. This A.M. I presided at the first two sessions of Mt Ogden & Ogden Stake Relief Society Convention Mrs Treeseder presided at the afternoon session. A very fine & well attended Contention The executive officers and visiting General Board members had a nice lunch at Dicks Caf. Dr had a quiet day at home. He and Myrene went to 17 Ward to hear Apostle D. O. McKay. I retired early & very happy to have con over 3 other Dept were held also Annual conference of the L.D.S. Ogden and Mt. Ogden stake Relief societies will be held Sunday, it is announced by Mrs. Almira C. Rich and Mrs. Ida Treseder, presidents. The first meeting will be held at nine o clock in Pioneer hall for bishops, Relief society stake officers, ward president s and social service aides. There will be a round table discussion of church social welfare problems and a member of the general board will speak on Relationship of Church Relief to the Public Relief program and Social Security. The second meeting will be held in the tabernacle at ten-thirty a.m., for Relief society stake officers and board members, ward officers, visiting teachers, magazine agents, bishops and advisory high councilmen. Two members of the general board will speak on Prevention of Crime, and Relief Society Magazine Instructions. A public meeting will be held at two p.m. in the tabernacle. A stake board member will speak on From Such Women As These, and a general board member will discuss Not By Bread Alone.
