Monday, June 17, 1935 168th Day Bunker Hill Day (Boston) 197 Days to come The girls Myrene & Cleone called this eve At 10 A.M. met at Mayor Perrys office as one of a committee on a pagent to be arranged and put over as a part of a three day 24 of July Celebration. Came home to lunch. Attended funeral services of Mrs Cora Carver Richie held in the 18 Ward. She was a very fine women. A mother of seven living & 2 dead children. Died at the age of 45 I believe. Had been a good L.D.S. member, was well educated & capable (Sad!) at 7 30 P.M. Martha Cooley may first counselor in R.S. & I met with Pres. R. I. Burton & his counselor on R.S. business. At 8 15 Dr & I attended an organ recital by Winslow Cheney a Utah boy who has become National & International for his organ music The Bakers here with us. Tuesday, June 18, 1935 169th Day 196 Days to come This A.M. I spent in cleaning & preparing lunch. At 2 P.M. went to Fifth Ward R.S. at 3 P.M. to the funeral of Bob. Tribe a young mom killed in auto accident. He left a wife & baby. Wrote to Carol. She is quite sick has had scarlet fever. Dr & Mrs Baker are spending this afternoon with friends.
