Show Friday, August 16, 1935 228th Day Bennington Battle Day (Vermont) 137 Days to come Have spent most of the morning in bed. Prepared a nice fish dinner for Pop & Junior. This afternoon I cleaned up stairs with vacuum and all the rooms down stairs. Wrote Maren a note for her six tenth birthday and sent her a check. Saturday, August 17, 1935 229th Day 136 Days to come Do not feel very fine but have finished cleaning for Saturday Wrote Thair a long letter. He is now in N.Y. with 60000 U. S. soilders Recd a letter from Phyllis my niece who says she is happily married. Cooked a fish dinner for Pop & Jr |
