Show JANUARY 13, 1935 President McKay Entertained By Club Members The Acacia club members and their husbands entertained at dinner Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Porter in honor of President and Mrs. David O. McKay of Salt Lake City. Yellow daffodils centered the table which was illuminated with white tapers in silver holders and the place cards were most unique making puns out of the guests initials. The following program was presented: Mrs. Robert I. Burton presented the toastmaster, who was David J. Wilson. The first toast was given by Robert. I. Burton, What Ogden has done for David O. Martha R. Cooley read an original paper; Mrs. Edward I Rich then gave a toast, David O. as a Ladies Man; Dr. Joseph R. Morrell gave a toast, What Mrs. McKay has done for David O.; President and Mrs. McKay both gave a response and Mrs. R. B. Porter presented them each with a gift. |
