Show Tuesday, January 8, 1935 8th Day Battle of New Orleans 1815 357 Days to come After lunch I attended the funeral of Sister Miller a Holland lady from there to the 5 Ward Relief Society, was ask to pray also spoke a few minutes of the New Project of reading the scriptures. Mrs Ingstrom shampooed and marcelled my hair. This evening the acacia Club gave a dinner party at the home of Mand Porter in honor of apostle David O. McKay & wife sinol he has been made one of the Presidency of the L.D.S. Chruch. Our husbands were also in attendance. We had a delightful evening. Place cards were clever also the travelog etc. June Smart stayed all night with us. Wednesday, January 9, 1935 9th Day 356 Days to come Have remained at home all day. Mrs Noah Pond and her friend called this afternoon. This evening I went to R.S. Board meeting. Mrs Rosella Larkin gave a fine Literary lesson. |
