Show Monday, January 28, 1935 28th Day 337 Days to come Attended D.U.P. Board meeting at Hotel Ben Loman Hole-in-Ones Feature Play at Ogden Links June 22 1935 OGDEN- Hole-in-one golf swept Ogden Saturday as the first aces of the season were recorded at both the Ogden Golf and Country club and the El Monte Golf and country club. when his tee shot struck Gordon Baxter on the hip and bounced into the cup. Baxter was putting at the time. Dr. Rich used a mashie. He was playing in a threesome with George Shupe and Dexter Farr. John Geertsen, professional at the El Monte Golf and Country club, scored his single ping on the 175 yard seventh hole, the ball sailing straight down the fairway and bouncing across the green into the bucket. He also used an iron club. He was playing with Lawrence W. Hansen, W. E. Ellingson and Roy Cook. Tuesday, January 29, 1935 29th Day Wm. McKinley Born 1843 336 Days to come Today I have spent in preparing for a party in honor of Mrs Allie Y. Pond who has been a board member of Mount Ogden Stake Relief Society for three years and is now going with her husband to live in Pocatello. Those present were Mr & Mrs Noah H Pond. Mr & Mrs Isac Cooley, Elias Neilson & wife, James Lindasy & wife D.R. Wheelwirght & wife Guy Hurst & wife Eljiah Larkin & wife Dora P Holther Maud Madsen & Dr & I. the R.S. Board gave the party & it was a nice dinner party & enjoyed by all present. |
