Show Sunday, July 21, 1935 202nd Day 5th Sunday after Trinity 163 Days to come The first day of a four day celebration in Ogden. Army air plains 18 or more here also several stunt planes. At 12 30 S. M. Edward and I (with his half brother Fred who came up from Salt Lake) went to Logan to attend the funeral service of George S. Rich Drs half brother, Able and Mary Rich another half brother, Able and Mary Rich another half brother & wife of Brigham City also went with us. The service was very nice his wife and all their seven living children were present. It has been a very warm day. We arrived home in time to attend the Pioneer Pagent at Ogden Stadium, sponsored by D.U.P. & given free to about 12000 or more people. It was the best were have ever given. The Committee. John Carver Mayor Harmon Perry. Pres of D.U.P. Dora Holther Vice Pres. Lettie F. Manning. Amelia Flygare Ida Treeseder & my self. Chairman Olevia Jepora Director Monday, July 22, 1935 203rd Day 162 Days to come A wonderful parade this A.M. blocks long and very good. I solicited help from one drug store and two chain stores on plates & napkins to serve 150 of our Ogden & Weber Co Pioneers on the 24 of July. Also placed Good year Cabin cards in five stores and two stands to be sold for Daughters of Weber Co Pioneers, A terribly warm day. Am very tired on arriving home to prepare lunch for Pop & Jr. |
