Thursday, October 3, 1935 276th Day 89 Days to come Salt Lake City Met board members of Relief Society of Mt Ogden and attended Officers meeting in the assembly Hall at 10 A.M. Oertel went out in town on business. Had a glass of milk for lunch and Mrs Cooley, Elia Anderson and I went to Wrok & Buisness Dept of Conference. At 2 P.M. I met Mae Cozzens & we went to R.S. Conference in the Tabernacle. Pres. Robinson was not in attendance as her husband had a stroke. Mrs Amey B. Lyman Presided. Pres D. O. McKay of First Presidency of the Church gave the principle address. African, European mission and other presidents reported their conferences. I came home with Oertel on U. P. train and it was sure slow 1 hr & 4 min. Friday, October 4, 1935 277th Day St. Francis of Assisi 88 Days to come I have had a buisy day getting our home in order as Dr has been house keeper and cooking curing my tow day absence. Oertel is buisy preparing to go home to Columbus to night. Myrene and Cleone entertained at a luncheon for her today. Some of her high school friends were there. She has been here & in Salt Lake City the past three weeks on business was obliged to spent more than 800.00 to get her house in Salt Lake fixed up right. She now has it completed and it looks lovly & is cased for two yr at 45.00 per mo. Oertel looks & feels well. Oscar has been home from Russia for a few days and she is very anxious to get home. He has been gone 5 mo.
