The collection includes Autobiographies, Oral Histories, History of Marriott, History of Slaterville, and the History of the Merging Townships to create Marriott-Slaterville City. This information has left behind rich histories, stories and important information regarding the history of the Marriott-Slaterville area. |

Show Community Awards Each year residents have an opportunity to nominate someone in the community for the annual community awards. This is your chance to recognize someone for going above and beyond as a neighbor. Nominations are now being accepted by the Mayor as follows: ? The Good Neighbor Award. ? Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award. ? H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award. ? Darrell Mecham Community Service Award. The final deadline for nominations is November 30, 2006. FALL CLEAN UP The city is scheduling its first fall clean-up campaign this year. A dumpster will be located at Marriott Park and at Slaterville Park. Residents are free to use these dumpsters to dispose of fall waste. The dumpsters will be provided at the parks from November 16-19. This complimentary service is sponsored by Marriott-Slaterville City and Waste Management as part of the new garbage contract. Breakfast WITH SANTA Santa is coming to Marriott-Slaterville for breakfast again! He will be arrive in Marriott-Slaterville, directly from the North Pole, on December 8, 2007 for breakfast from 9:00 am. to 11:00 a.m. at the Senior Center located at 1570 West 400 North. In addition to breakfast, the city will have other fun activities for the kids and family. Space is limited, so make your reservation early. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for children 12 and under. Remember to bring your camera. The fire district suggests that our residents who are now within closer proximity to this fire station contact their homeowners' insurance to inquire about qualifying for a lower insurance rate._ PUBLIC HEADINGS PARK COMMITTEE Notice is hereby given that the park committee has completed its report and recommendations for Marriott Park and Slaterville Park. The city council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 PM on November 15, 2007, in the Legislative Chambers located at 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah, to take public comment on the report and recommendations of the park committee. For special accommodation call Becky at 627-1919 at three days before the hearing. COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT Marriott-Slaterville City Council will hold a public hearing to consider potential projects for which funding may be applied under the CDBG Small Cities Program for Program Year 2008. Suggestions for potential projects will be solicited, both verbally and in writing, for all interested parties. The expected amount of CDBG funds for this program year will be discussed along with the range of projects eligible under this program and a review of previously funded projects. The hearing will begin at 6:30 PM on November 15, 2007, and will be held in the Legislative Chambers located at 1570 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah.
