Besides the traditional May 4 Founders’ Day luncheon and Dixon award presentation college officials have added a 5K evening race, a tailgate party for “Little Cats,” a : cea game, and |inter-squad feAdan avait ss football varsity spring e ground breaking ceremonies for the soon-tobe-constructed Alumni Center. The Dixon award will be given to Robert H. DeBoer, assistant to the president for governmental relations (see page 3), during the luncheon scheduled for noon in the Shepherd Union Building Ballroom. That luncheon will be preceeded by h Half — if ; ws , a ‘ The WSC Alumni Association is looking for volunteers to work on a variety of boards, councils and committees. Much of the help for the alumni group can be done by former students who do not live in the Ogden area, nor within Utah. Assignment possibilities include the Alumni Board of Directors, the Young Alumni Council, the Emeritus Alumni Council, Regional Alumni Chapters, Homecoming Committees, Distinguished Alumni/Service Banquet Committee, Little Cats activities, class reunions, tailgate parties, student recruitment and “lost alumni” search. O nN Bey nvocat The approximately 2,200 students who graduate from Weber State in ceremonies June 8 will be the first to enjoy a commencement and convocation schedule. This year, for the first time in Weber State’s history, graduation exercises consist of a general commencement in the morning followed by individual school convocations. The general commencement will be held in the Dee Events Center, with the processional beginning at 8:40 a.m. The z 8 |
