The group toured the United States in 1984 to the rave of critics. “Rarely do so many virtuosos share a stage... offering a startling lesson in what great folk art is all about,” said the Chicago Tribune. The Washington Post said, “The capacity crowd responded with bravos, cheers and whistles.” Tickets for the event are $2-$10 and are available through the Dee Events Center Ticket Office, open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by credit card purchase at (801) 626-8500. The DEC Ticket Office adds a $2 handling charge for credit card purchases. “The performers are the best in their media: whirling dancers, a superb chorus and a virtuoso orchestra, replete with gypsy violins,” promotional material states.
