During the first week of training, students underwent a rigorous physical training program and received instruction in the theory of parachuting. The second week they received practical training by jumping from 34-foot and 250-foot and exemplary conduct. "82 Paul O. He is an aircaft armament technician with the 4487th Aircraft Generation Squadron. 84408-1010 course trained Royce E. Eves, ’85, has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force upon graduation from Officer Training School at Lackland AFB, TX. The 12-week course trained selected college graduates to apply communicative skills, professional knowledge, leadership and management in positions of responsibility. He was an honor graduate in the course and will now be assigned at Mather AFB, CA. tactical doctrine and small unit operations, weapons and fire support, and basic intelligence orientation. Second Lt. Matthew J. O’Donnell, ‘83, has been awarded silver wings following graduation from U.S. Air Force navigator training at Mather AFB, Cal. He will now serve at Loring AFB, Maine. Navy Seaman Michael T. Kelley, ‘80, graduated from Basic Ship's Serviceman School. During the five-week course at Naval Technical Training Center, Meridian, MS, he received fundamental instructions on Navy retail operations. He studied the procedures for operating and managing barber, tailor, cobbler and uniform shops; commissary stores; soda fountains; and laundry and dry cleaning plants aboard ships and at shore stations. He also received instructions on requisitioning goods and supplies, inventorying and preparation of related records and financial reports. including sioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. complishments.
