Show Commercial ‘71 Robert B. Isakson, ‘71, has been named assistant vice president and branch manager of Commercial Security Bank’s Kamas Office in Kamas, Utah. He is a member of the Golden Spike Kiwanis Club where he has served as president and as a board member for many years. He has been very active in the sachio Utah Chapter of the American Institute of Banking where he has served as a member of the board for over two years. He has also served as a board member of the Utah Chapter of the Bank Administration Institute. He graduated from the School of Bank Operation in Boulder, Col., in 1983 and in 1985 graduated from the National Commercial Lending School in Norman, Okla. ‘74, Richard Keith Eldard, ‘74, has been promoted to the rank of major in the United States Air Force. After graduating from WSC, she attended the surface warfare officers school in Newport, RI. She is now serving aboard the USS Emory S. Land (AS-39), a sub- marine tender, stationed in Norfolk, Va. Her assignments have included electrical repair officer, repairing and maintenance of nuclearpowered submarines, and as the ship’s electrical officer, and surface warfare officer. Dr. Victor Ferre, has been promoted to full professor of education at Peru State College, Nebraska. He has been a member of the PSC faculty since 1978. After earning his bachelor’s degree at WSC, he earned his masters degree from Utah State University and his doctor of education degree from New Mexico state University at Las Cruces. ; Billy W. Wilcox, ‘84, received a master’s degree in English from Purdue University in May 1986, and has been accepted to the PhD. program there. She was also appointed to serve as editorial assistant to the Purdue English Dept. academic journal Modern Fiction Studies. She was recently honored with an Excellence in Teaching Award. Crawford, ‘79, graduated from the University of Utah Medical School in 1983 and moved to Madison, Wis. for a residency in pediatrics, which he completed in June of this year. Jeffrey Allen Ross, '77, recently became a senior electronic engineer with Systems Research Laboratories of Dayton, Ohio. He has been an electronic engineer with the company, which is developing high resolution multi-color CRT monitors and projectors to be used in data display and simulation applications, since 1982. He and wife Cynthia Ross, '75, are the parents of three sons. Craig D. Odekirk, '71, is the Laboratory Certification/Quality Assurance Officer for the State of Utah. He won the gold medal in the first annual (1986) Utah Tae Kwon Do Championships (UTSU), heavyweight division. Arlene Haslam Eakle, ‘56, is president and founder of the Genealogical Institute, Salt Lake City, and is a_ professional genealogist of more than 25 years experience. She is ancestry (New York, Pennsylvania, New ° Jersey, Delaware and Maryland), southern research and tracing immigrant origins of Americans. She also has wide experience in field research. She holds both MA and PhD degrees in English history from the University of Utah. She was a founder and an original trustee of the Association of Professional Genealogists, serving as the group’s president from 1980-82. In March, Weber County received the Utah Governor's Council on Health and Physical Fitness Award for the Project Health Program, which Dieu has been very active in developing and administering. The same project received the National Association. of Counties Award in Orlando, Fla., in July 1985. In July of this year, Weber County will receive a National Association of Counties Achievement Award for their computerized payroll/personnel system which Dieu also helped develop.
