Show Vol. 21 No.3 Spring 1990 Weber State College Second Century of Excellence mmenl INSIDE Ogden’s new university Visit Weber State this summer by going to Europe his July you can revisit your alma mater by way of Europe as Weber State travels to France, Portugal, Spain and England. Weber State’s travel study program will spend July 11-27 in and around Paris beginning July 11. See the Arc de Triomphe, Tuileries Gardens, the gothic cathedral Chartres, and many other sites. Participate in France's national holiday, and relive French history at Notre Dame. But if France is not your piéce de résistance, travel to Madrid, Salamanca, Galicia and the Gaelic North of Spain with Weber State July 3-24. Wander down the streets of Portugal’s Lisbon with its unique boutiques, and marvel at the elegant palaces and enchanting castles of Cascais, Queluz and Sintra. Then again, consider England. The “Dead Poets’ Tour” is a three-week look at the literature, countryside and prominent sites of historic England. Spend days wandering the hills of the Western Lakes, home of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge. Enjoy a performance of Hamlet at the University of Cambrige, visit the Roman city of Bath, and marvel at London’s towers, museums and theaters. The group leaves July 30 and returns August 20. All trips are led by tour directors with personal knowledge of the countries, their customs and languages. Cost is $1,500 for the France trip, $1,560 for the Spain/Portugal excursion, and $1,754 for England. Fees include round-trip airfare, entrance fees, lodging, insurance, college credit and most meals.
