Maw to the advisory coun- cil of the state Department of Business Regulation from 1946-52 and was elected an Ogden City Commissioner in 1949, : He was president of Ogden Pioneer Days for 13 years, was president and campaign chairman of the Community Concert Association for 16 years and is currently vice president of the McKayDee Foundation. Dr. Hirst received his medical degree from Washington Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been a physician in Ogden since 1946. He was chief of staff of the the old Dee and St. Benedict's hospitals and has been the Dr. James Sundquist He served as an administrative assistant in the United States Senate and as an assistant to the chairman of the democratic National Committee in 1953-54. Dr. Hirst served in the Medical Corps of the United States Army in France from 1942-45. In 1954, after establishing a practice ‘in Ogden, he became the president of the Weber County Medical Society. He graduated from Weber College in 1934 and received. his master of science degree from Syracuse University in New York. He and his wife Geraldine are the parents of three sons. Tribe has been an Ogden real-estate broker since 1949. He served as Presi- dent of the Ogden Real Estate Board and president of the Utah State Realty Association and is a member of the Utah Council of ‘National Real Estate Association. He has served as vice president and general manager of The Continental Broadcasting Company, an administrative assistant to the chief of maintenance at Hill Air Force Base and as manager of the artist's bureau of the Radio Corporation of Utah. Hirst He was president of the Ogden Surgical Society’s annual meeting in 1956-57 and in 1949 served as president of the Ogden Exchange Club. He has been honored by the WSC Wildcat Club and in 1962 was made an honorary member of the WSC Athletic Scholarship Drive. He and his wife Verna are the parents of two sons and two daughters. Company. Martino has been a faculty member at numerous colleges and universities in Minnesota, Ohio and Indiana. He was chairman of the department. of music education at Brigham Young University and currently teaches musicology at Weber State in addition Daniel Martino to his other duties. In 1964 he was a guest conductor of the Utah Symphony and a8 performances of Mendelssohn's “Elijah.” He has been a conductor, adjudicator, consultant, speaker and guest professor in 31 states. He has been at Weber State since (965 and is responsible for bringing a ‘wide variety of cultural entertainment, including the New York Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony, the Boston Symphony, The Academy of St. Martins in the Field and other prestigious groups, to Ogden.
