He was a real estate mortgage representative with American Savings and Loan before his current appointment. Hadfield is a former member of the Ogden Board of Realtors. Fred E. Thorne received his juris doctor degree in May from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. Wright has started her own business, ‘‘Adventures in Living,’’ doing presentations, counseling and consulting. She has a master’s of social work from the University of Utah, is a certified social worker, and holds a gerontology certificate. She has been a school and hospital social worker, a counselor, a research project director, youth custody worker and has spoken at conferences. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the Alpha Delta Mu and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies. She and her husband, James O. Wright, reside in Kaysville, Utah. ae $1 Cpt. The Achievement Medal is awarded to airmen for meritorious service, acts of courage, or other accomplishments. Bingham has been promoted to the rank of sergeant in the U.S. Army. She is a telephone system installer with the U.S. Army Electronic Proving Ground at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. Richard A. Burton has been promoted to the rank of first lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He is a deputy missile combat crew commander at Grand Forks Air Force Base, N.D., with the 447th Strategic Missile Squadron. Jay Jenkins has been appointed financial advisor at MountainWest Savings and Loan’s ZCMI branch in Salt Lake City. He has responsibility for market securities, insurance, savings products and for coordinating various branch marketing activities. Jenkins has been financial adviser at the MountainWest branch in Ogden for more than three years. Prior to that he was a registered representative for E.F. Hutton. First Lt. Ted J. Jensen has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal at Fort Benning, Ga. The Achievement Medal is awarded to soldiers for meritorious service, acts of courage or other accomplishments. Jensen is a chemical officer with the 197th Infantry Brigade. Jeffrey K. Goodfellow graduated with a Master’s of Business Administration in hospital administration in May. He currently resides in Carmichael, Calif. Jay T. Lighthall received his master of social science degree in human resource administration from Utah State University June 6. He and his wife, Nan Murdock, reside in Ogden. Dennis I. Carver is currently working with the Utah Department of Natural Resources as a financial director. He earned his Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Utah in 1980 and went to work for Conoco Oil Company. He was appointed financial director of the Domestic Marine Division of Conoco, but’ quit the company to return to Utah. He and his wife, Barbara Joseph Carver, ’77, currently live in Layton. Scott A. Coleman has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force after his graduation from Officer Training School at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. Crimin recently started an internship at the Eisenhower Medical Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Dr. Crimin received his doctor of osteopathy degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Science in Des Moines, Iowa in May: He is planning to complete a residency in family practice following the internship. Cpt. Charles R. Kunkle has completed upgrade training and certification as a missle combat crew commander with the 10 Strategic Missile Squadron at Malmstrom Air Force Base in Montana. °79 Matthew J. O’Donnell has been promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of first lieutenant. O’Donnell is a navigator at Loring Air Force Base, Maine, with the 407th Air Refueling Squadron. IO "83 Bruce Richeson is the newly appointed marketing director of the Utah Department of Agriculture. He was formerly advertising and marketing director of the Bank of Utah and a marketing representative for John H. Harland, a bank note printing company. Richeson was selected from among two dozen candidates from around the nation. He resides in Ogden. Peter D. Carrier recently joined United Savings and Loan Association as a certified financial planner with specialities in marketing annuities, insurance projects and diversified investments. He will work out of the Ogden and Salt Lake’ ‘ branches. Before joining United Savings he worked for MountainWest Savings and Loan. EAC Laurie T. Spinks was named trust administrator in the trust department of First Security Bank in "82 ESS Michelle Stott recieved her doctorate in German from the University of Utah during June commencement exercises. She received her master’s in 1981 from the University of Utah, where she was a teaching assistant.
