Show he (iioscow Classical Ballet DIRECT FROM THE USSR Vol. 20 No.1 The world-acclaimed Moscow Classical Ballet will be at Weber State Oct. 2022 in an exclusive Utah engagement as part of the college’s centennial celebration. The company will give one performance of “‘Divertissement” on Oct. 20 and two of “Swan Lake” on Oct. 21-22 in its premiere Ogden appearance. The dancers are on their first American tour and are coming to Weber State as part ‘of the college’s centennial celebration. The company features artists of the Bolshoi Ballet, including Vladimir Vasiliov and Natalia Kasakina. The Moscow Ballet was created in 1968 by Igor Moiseyev, the Lenin Prize laureate of dance. The company is highly ac- claimed as first-rate and has received outstanding reviews from critics world- jiitaepriadans iinet meio ites amin IRE NEA wide. The Moscow Classical Balletis now acknowledged as a prestigious force in Russian ballet. The company is the youngest in age and outlook of the Soviet national ballet companies, and feature ten international gold medalists as solo artists. One of the Bolshoi prima _ballerinas, Ekaterina Maximova, will be featured as a guest star. Her partner is the powerful Stanislav Isayev, international gold medalist. All performances of this 100-member group are fully staged, complete with symphony orchestra. Tickets range in price from $10 to $40.
