Show Weber State ‘College Comment, January 1987, page 11 ne BOOKS Alumni Clubs Former WSC basketball guard Michael Sivulich has been named first chairman of the newly-formed “Wildcat Alumni Backcourt Club.” The group is made up of former WSC basketball players who will get together for two major activities each year. “We want former Wildcats to come back to the campus for activities which are geared to their interests,” said. The first major activity will ner on Jan. 30. The group is looking for all former basketball players interested in joining the club. Membership fees are $25 per year, which includes an alumni identification card, a newsletter from coach Larry Farmer, and Arm-chair quarterbacks who once were WSC gridiron players can get off the sofa and into pads during the annual Wildcat vs. Alumni football game. The game and a golf tournament are part of the alumni weekend set for May being organized by the newly formed Gridiron Club. ‘We urge all former Wildcat football players to contact us and become active in the club,” said Ron McCall, chairman of the group. “We would like as many players as possible in the game, and even more to participate in the golf tournament and join with us for the banquet.” The football alumni are working to overcome three losses during the annual event's history. Last year the alumni came the closest yet to victory with a 24-13 loss to the varsity.
