It read as follows: “Seven years ago, after having experienced an exciting career in the worlds of business and government, I decided to dedicate the next phase of my professional life to the field of higher education administration, which decision led me to the wonderful world of Weber State. “Il can declare with confidence that the past seven years have been the most satisfying and pleasurable of my entire professional career. My daily contact with students, faculty; and staff has kept my thinking young, my intellect stimulated, and my _ vision focused on the future. At the same time, I can clearly rank these past seven. years among the most demanding I have experienced in terms of time commitment, intellectual rigor, and administrative challenge. “In the life of a college president, as well as in the development of a college, there comes an optimum time for change. I have concluded that the proper time for change, for both me and Weber State College, is near at hand. Thus, after considerable deliberation and thought, weighing carefully my personal goals and the goals of the college, I have concluded that I will leave the presidency of Weber State College WSC President Rodney college.
