A bachelors degree provides a broad background in basic business knowledge, problem solving, and computer systems analysis and design skills. A two-year associate of science degree in Information Technology Sales prepares a student to work for manufacturers, distributors and retailers of information technology products. OR B.A.) » Program Prerequisite: The Business Foundations courses must be completed with grades of "C-" or higher before registering for 300 or 400 level courses with the exceptions of Mgmt 320, BusAdm 300, BusAdm 320, Mktg 301, Mgmt 312 and IS&T 374. » Minor: Not required. » Grade Requirements: The minimum overall GPA for graduation is 2.5; additionally, students must earn a 2.5 GPA in business and economics courses and the information systems and technologies major. Finally, a course grade of "C-" or higher is required for all business and economics prerequisite and program requirements. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 183 credit hours is required for graduation — 89 of these are College requirements, 48 of these are required within the major, and the balance should be taken outside the College of Business & Economics. A total of 60 upper division credit hours is required (courses number 300 and above) — all of these are taken to fulfill College and major requirements. Advisement See College of Business and Economics section of the catalog. All Information Systems & Technologies students are required to meet with a faculty advisor at least annually for course and program advisement. If this requirement is not met, the student may not be allowed to register for classes within their major. See an advisor by appointment in WB222 or call 626-6979. Admission Requirements An application is necessary for all majors and minors in the College of Business and Economics. Completion of Business Foundation courses with course grades of "C-" or higher is required for admission and access by majors to upper division Business and Economics courses. Core and General Education Refer to pages 32-36 of this catalog for either Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts requirements. Grade Requirements: Even though a minimum grade of "D-" will be accepted, an overall GPA of 2.5 or higher is required in courses used to satisfy the associate degree requirements. Credit Hour Requirements: 93 credit hours are required for graduation, including at least 30 hours taken in residence at WSU. Advisement Advisement is required.
