Programs of study are designed to meet the career goals of students in special medical imaging modalities, technical management positions and/or positions in education. The following emphases are available: 1. Advanced Radiologic Sciences 2. Magnetic Resonance Imaging/Computed Tomography (MRI/CT) 3. Cardiovascular-Interventional Technology 4. Mammography 5. Radiology Practitioner » Program Prerequisite: Must be an ARRT registered technologist and make application and be accepted to the program (refer to the Admission Requirements below). » Minor: Required. Students may select any approved minor. » Grade Requirements: A GPA of 2.0 is required in all professional courses in addition to a GPA of 2.0 for all courses. » Credit Hours: A total of 183 credit hours is required for graduation — 43-45 of these are required within the major. A total of 60 upper division credit hours is required — 43-45 of these are required within the major. Advisement Students should meet with a faculty advisor at least annually for course and program review. Call 626-6120 for more information or to schedule an appointment. Admission Requirements Must be admitted to Weber State University and declare Radiologic Sciences as a major (refer to page 30 of this catalog). Submit a curriculum contract form with courses outlined to the program director for approval — a cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required.
