Economics DEPARTMENTAL HONOURS » Program Prerequisite: Enroll in the General Honours Programme and complete at least 10 hours of general honours courses (see the Interdisciplinary Programs section of this catalog). » Grade Requirements: Maintain an overall GPA of 3.3 » Credit Hour Requirements: Fulfill requirements for an Economics Department major (given above for General Economics and, for Business Economics, in the Business and Economics section of this catalog), of which at least 14 hours of economics courses must be completed on an honours basis. A student may receive honours credit in any upper-division or graduate-level economics course.* Two credit hours must be completed as a senior project (Honours 499) and either Econ 301 or Econ 302 must be taken on an honours basis. *Permission from the department chair must be obtained before registering in a course for honours credit. Wahlquist; Instructor: Julie Rich Ueography is a study of the spatial organization, arrangement, function, movement, and interrelationships of phenomena at the surface of the earth. It is a science concerned with both physical and cultural phenomena and interfaces with other disciplines in the natural sciences, social & behavioral sciences, business, and economics. Geography Major BACHELOR DEGREE (B.S. OR B.A.) » Program Prerequisite: Not required. » Minor: Required. » Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major. Also refer to the general grade requirements for graduation on page 32 of this catalog. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 183 credit hours is required for graduation — a minimum of 53 of these is required within the major. A total of 60 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 300 and above) — 18-38 of these are required within the major.
