OR B.A.) » Program Prerequisite: (1) Complete a total of 90 quarter hours of university credits (or equivalent) which must include all of the Pre-Professional Core courses listed below under Course Requirements. (2) Meet the WSU English Competency and Math Competency requirements (refer to Core and General Education requirements in this catalog). (3) Be accepted into the program (refer to Admission Requirements below). » Minor: Optional. To be eligible for acceptance into the Family Studies Program a candidate must: (1) make application to the program; (2) submit all college transcripts; (3) be reviewed and accepted by the Department Committee for Admissions; (4) have a cumulative GPA of 2.00 or better; and (5) complete all of the Pre-Professional Core courses listed below under Course Requirements. Contact the Department of Child and Family Studies for an application and specific procedures. Admission to the Family Studies Program is into a cohort group who proceed through the program in a structured sequence. If a student drops out of a cohort group sequence, for any reason, readmission is required to continue in the Family Studies Program. Consult with your advisor when designing a dual major. Minors can include any legitimate minor from departments across campus.
