Show SCHOOL OF ALLIED HEALTH SCIENCES Reed M. Stringham, Jr., Dean The Weber State College School of Allied Health Sciences, in cooperation with affiliated hospitals and other departments of the College, offers an expanding program for the education and training of health care workers. The programs emphasize an integration of basic sciences, liberal arts and clinical experiences which enable the graduates to make a maximum contribution to patient care as a member of the health care team. The School of Allied Health Sciences is currently served by two departments: Nursing and Health Occupations, which offer programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Associate of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Technology, Associate of Science in Nursing, Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene, Associate of Applied Science in Radiologic Technology and Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy. A Certificate of Proficiency in Licensed Practical Nursing and a Certificate of Completion in Dental Assisting. Through the organization of health occupations educational programs into one area, a common core curriculum is operational which fosters the team concept of health care and the integration and application of the basic biomedical sciences to patient needs.
