It also offers a two-year l- program in Police Science. 'D' grades will not be acceptable in the department courses t which are used to satisfy the major or minor requirements. t. 4 4 i Students majoring or minoring in Political Science or Philosophy 1 1 vho transfer from another institution and who intend to graduate 7 3 {:rom Weber State College will be required to take, in the case of _ he minor, at least one class, and in the case of the major, at least 16 16 1' wo classes at Weber State College. These classes must be taken luring the four quarters immediately preceding graduation. POLITICAL SCIENCE Political Science is a science which focuses on the study of aolitics, government, governmental systems, and the making of i aublic policy. The political science major is offered as a means to i i liberal education, particularly as the term implies preparation ; )f the citizen for the exercise of his political responsibilities. The najor is also helpful as preparation for post-graduate study in pro- ; essional schools of law, journalism, international relations, and Dublic administration—among others—as well as for post-graduate _ vork leading to careers in research and teaching.
