4, 1846 Jan. 8, Lived with grandpa, school, religious commotion, persecuted I, Jens Moller Christensen was born in Hornstrup ‘Sogn’ Veile’ Amt’ Denmark. January 8th 1846. my Parents were Christen Andersen a son of Anders Sorensen and Anne Maysetha Jensen Moller a Daughter of Jens Petersen Moller. In my 5th year I was brought to live with my Grandfather J.P. Moller at ‘Ring blaster mark Hylke sogn’ W Skanderborg. I stayed there until the Spring of 1854 when I was brought back and lived with my parrents, at ‘Kirkeby mark’ where born, passed childhood without any incident, going to school, & helping my Father on the farm, until 13 ½ years. at that time there was a great Religious commotion in the neighborhood, and Mother takes side with it against the State Church, I being of a religious sentiment, was also influeneced by it, and incidently, at a meeting made the expression ‘that all was not scriptural truth taught in the Lutheran Church’, this caused a great commotion, and Neighbors, Teacher and Priest all joined in a persicution, some wanted me whiped in public, my teacher said that if I came back to school he would punish me severly, I was finely
