73, 1905, Dance, Babtisms healing conformation, Fast for Elder Knudsen Oct. 27th Recd. & wrote Letters buisness & private was advised of arrival of 12 Missionaries. at ev. attended a Dance (but did not take part) goten up by the M. I. A. There was a large attendance, good order & all seemed to enjoy it. 28th A.m. rotine Buisness. in p.m. att. a Babtism one of which was a Sister Eliza Sophie Heinsen who in her youth had been in the Church and declares that she was a criple, but was instantly healed at her babtism, it was over 50 years ago she is now 80 years. I confirmed Sister Fariette Aurora Constantine Nilsen Jensen Nielsen a Lady of means & Culture, her husband not in the Church. but kindly, was present & witnesed her babtism had Given his consent, & invited all the Elders out for Super. Spent a pleasant evning There. Having a sick Brother at the Hospital, it was agreed that all the Elders in Kopenhagan & as many of the Saints that could & was willing should fast Sunday & Monday. 29th Att. S. School, & Meetings at 2 & 6 p.m. Spoke in the evning, good attendance. 30th Today is 34 years since I went trough The Endowment House. which made such an impression on me, that it seemed to be in my tought for years, always admonishing me to do good. Ended fast. rotine work. att. Meeting at 8 pm. 74, Emigration, apont Conf. President in Bergen, Knudsen Dead Oct. 31st Many Emigrants left. also several Elders vit H. Jull, J.P. Nielsen, L.P. Jensen from Kjobh. D. Frederikson from Frandhjem, H.P. Nokleby & Haus Gabrielsen from Kristiania M.L. Petersen & N. Christensen from Aalborg & S.P. Sorensen & Luis Keller from Aarhus Conf. some rotine work. wrote preface to the 15th Edition of Hymnbook. at ev. Att. M. I. A. Novb. 1st Att. to much buisness at ev. 13 Elders arrived. 3 of which for Sweden, also a young Lady Sloan going to Berlin to Study. att. meeting in Hall at 8 o clok 2nd Met with Missionaries gave instructions & Apointments & attended to matters pertaining to same. among the missionaries was one P.E. Andersen an old frind, & a Br. Adolph Nielsen from Shelley Idaho. whom I apointed to Labor in Bergen Conf. as President over same. 3 at abt. 10 a.m. word that Elder Wilford J. Knudsen of Provo Utah. who had been on a Hospital since March. afficted with Tuberculosis, was dead. Elder Geo. M. Jorgensen & my self. at once set abt. taking the nesasary steps to have his Body Embalmed which was done during the day & at abt 6 p.m. Elders F. Christensen, G. M. Jorgensen & myself dresed him in his Temple Clothing He was put in a Nicely lined Metal Casket
