135, 1908 in conf March in the 16th Ward. having in Conf on The 8th of Feb. been released as Counciler to Bishop Bond of 15th ward. on March 2nd Started to work on The Orchard, found much Pearblight. Several trees beeing dead & many affected. 4 Will R. Young called & reported that him & my son James was in a bad shape as to my sheep which They had leased. not beeing able to pay the lease. I got $50.00 leaving Them in debt $1500.00 for 1907 I offerd to Take the Money any Time but, but was willing to leave it at 8% Int. from Sept 1st 1907 and to Take the round sum of $ 1800.00 for 1908 to which he readily consented, & seemed to be pleased 5 & 6 a very heavy Snow Storm. at ev. of 5 att Skandinavian meeting on 6th wrote Sister Olsen Bergen 8 Filled apointment in 22nd Ward 27 My Daugther Pearl was babtized in the Tabernacle by Joseph E. Kjar 29 I Confirmed my Daugther, & took part in Blesings & Confirmations in Fast meeting 30 Was in bed sick all day. Wife went to funeral 136, 1908 of Ane Cordell a daugther of Jorgen Petersens April. Filled appointments on the 12th in Center Ward. & in 29th Ward on The 26. met in Temple. except I mised 2 Cirkle & 1 High council meeting, worked very hard all month in Orchard Trimming & Clearing was much trubled with cold & asthm cathar in head. In This month had House renovated, all upstair rooms papered. & new carpet in Parlor. May 31st Sophies Birthday. 40 years old Month pased in poor healt and hard work. much rain Setting back labor in Orchard, My son James called in latter part going to Idaho To look 27th after Sheep buisnes. On the My Nephew Wilford Lund was married by Pres. Ashton at my House, & we had a pleasant time with invited frinds. I attended to all me church duties during the month with but few meeting exception. My Daugther Anie had taken a domistic corse in the B.Y.U. & was ajuged the best sewer in the class and a fine dress she had made was retained for exibition
