Show Marriott-Slaterville City History January 2016 City Council discussed and adopted the bi-annual update to the Moderate Income Housing Plan, which must be updated every two years. City Council adopted Resolution 2016-A approving an Interlocal Agreement with Ogden City relating to expense sharing between Marriott-Slaterville and Ogden City to maintain 400 North. The agreement allots $20,000 a year for 7 years, which is a 50/50 split between our City and Ogden City, with a cap of $20,000 per year. The City Engineer prepared an estimate for 25 years and it was noted that the cost will fluctuate due to the prices of products needed to repair the road. Council members discussed and approved allotment of funds for purchase of a new software program called IWorQ which would allow licensing, permitting and enforcement, as well as Building Inspections to be completed on line. In order to cover the cost of this program Mr. Morris said an additional $2 to $3 would be added to each Building Permit. Office reports and legislative oversight: Mayor Butler thanked staff for another fine Christmas Party, If anyone notices any pot holes which need to be filled, please let Trent know. Instituting the recycling process has been difficult because many residents do not read the newsletter and were not aware of the program. It is anticipated that when residents receive their February water bill there will be additional calls to the City. Mr. Smout thanked Pres. Van Leeuwen and Vice-Pres. Ilium for running City Council. He also asked about the Good Landlord Program, which he has heard will allow parolees to move into the City when they are released from jail. Bits and Pieces Jolene Gallup, 66, passed away on January 18, 2016. Grant and Margaret Butler celebrated their 50*^^ wedding anniversary at an Open House on January 1, 2016. |
