Show Marriott-Slaterville City History July 2016 A minor lot subdivision was approved for the 400 North Commercial Subdivision located at 300 N 2000 W. Another site plan for High Country Inn and Assisted Living Center at 1335 W 1200 S was given approval; their time period for development had also expired and they were seeking re-approval. The site plan for the new Borrett Animal Hospital located at 1095 W 12'^ St was approved. The Commission granted preliminary approval for a conceptual site plan for the Chevron/Excel convenience store currently located on Pioneer Road and 2000 W. Plans are for the current convenience store to relocate at 1800 W 400 N. Final approval was granted for a 7 lot subdivision at 2485 W Pioneer Road named Lazy Acres. A Conditional Use Permit was approved for a home occupation called No Name Tactical at 943 S 1300 W. The homeowner, Joshua Needham, plans to operate an online home business to sell assembled rifles and shooting accessories. An Ordinance adopting Chapter 15.09 Excavation and Clean Fill Regulations was tabled. Another Ordinance amending Chapters 13.01 General Provisions, Chapter 13.02 Land Use Administration was introduced by Mr. Morris. He explained that this Ordinance cleans up old language in the Municipal Code from the old state law. City Council Meeting-July 21. 2016 Council members approved a new Business License for Diamond Rental. They also approved the Morris Meadows 21 Lot Subdivision located at 1600 W 700 S. Ordinance 2016-04 amending the Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA) was approved by the City Council. In 2015 the Utah State Legislature made changes to the GRAMA which caused the Municipal Code to be out of compliance. This Ordinance will bring implementation of GRAMA into compliance. Ordinance 2016-10, amending Chapters 13.01 General Provisions, Chapter 13.02 Land Use Administration, Section 13.26.300 Access, and Chapter 12.01 Subdivision Access was approved. Bits and Pieces Dennis Dickamore, 74, passed away on July 5, 2016. Construction work closed 1-15 on Wednesday and Thursday, July 20^'' and 21'', between Marriott-Slaterville and Hot Springs. The ongoing UDOT project from Riverdale to Farr West closed northbound 1-15 on Wednesday and southbound 1-15 on Thursday to re-pave the 2700 North interchange. |
