Show Marriott-Slaterville City History December 2016 Staff recommended approval of the Audit Report for Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2015, includirig hiring a new staff person. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Annual Christmas Party for volunteers and staff was held in the adjacent Senior Center. The annual Community Awards were presented as follows: • Mark Hodson and Frank Blair were selected for the Good Neighbor Award. Mr. Blair was selected for his willingness to allow the Utah Renaissance Festival & Fantasy Fair to use his property in 2016. Mr. Flodson, who grazes cattle there, was recognized for his willingness to forgo that use during that time. • Bob Taylor received the Eina Lucas Community History Award for his efforts in relocating and restoring the Edwin Smout cabin to be preserved as part of our cherished community history. • Ezrah Brandley was selected for the H. Orvil Holley Youth Award. As a Cub Scout Ezra has been wonderful and willing to help others, giving 110%. • Bart and Sandra Spencer were selected for the Darrell Mecham Outstanding Community Service Award. They are tireless in helping neighbors and the community in general, as they have for decades. Bits and Pieces Matt and Krystal Tipping are parents of a new baby girl named Lucy Mae Tipping. She was born on December 8, 2016. The 2"^* Annual Craft Fair/Bake Sale was held at Millcreek Animal Hospital, along with a Vaccination Clinic from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Proceeds benefited the Black Dog Walk. Marriott-Slaterville City residents can purchase a Fun Zone Season Pass for $29.95 each plus tax, without batting cages; or $34.95 each plus tax with batting cages from Toad's. An available coupon is valid for 8 passes. The Driving Range 90-day Pass is 10% off the regular price for residents as well. |
