Show Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History August 2016 Continued HOT, HOT, HOT! We only received a trace of precipitation during the hottest summer on record. We certainly look forward to cooler weather as fall approaches. Weber County administers the 2016 elections. For election questions residents were advised to contact the Weber County Clerk at (801) 399-8400. Reminder that recycling is every other week, which will be August l'^ 15*^ and 29'^ this month. Many residents in Marriott-Slaterville enjoy back yard fire pits. Smoke from fire pits can affect your neighbors, so residents were reminded to be courteous and locate their fire pit the proper distance from their neighbor, and any property lines. The Planning Commission recently approved the following: 1. 400 N Commercial Subdivision located at 300 N 2000 W. 2. A Site Plan for High Country Inn and Assisted Living Center at 1335 W 1200 S. 3. A Site Plan for Borrett Animal Hospital located at 1095 W 12^'' St. 4. Lazy Acres, a 7-lot subdivision at approximately 2485 W Pioneer Rd by John Duddleston. 5. A Conditional Use Permit for home occupation at 943 S 1300 W for No Name Tactical by Joshua Needham. The City Council has recently approved the following: 1. A Business License for Diamond Rental at 1135 W 12^^ St. 2. An Ordinance approving Morris Meadows 21-lot subdivision at 1600 W 700 S. 3. An Ordinance amending the Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA). 4. An Ordinance amending Chapters 13.01 General Provisions, Chapter 13.02 Land Use Administration, Section 13.26.300 Access, and Chapter 12.01 Subdivision Access. Planning Commission and City Council Meetings were both canceled for August. Bits and Pieces Michael Aileen Murphy, 70, passed away on August 31, 2016. |
