Show Marriott-Slaterville City History May 2016 Kerry Tucker, owner of the Excel Chevron gas station/convenience store currently located on 1900 W and Pioneer Road plans to relocate his business to these two parcels. The amendment was forwarded to the City Council with a recommendation for approval. A Site Plan will be forthcoming. Commission members also approved an amendment and lot line adjustment on the Elmersville Subdivision located at 981 W 1700 S. The final approval for a 7-lot subdivision at approximately 2485 W Pioneer Rd by John Duddleston was tabled until the City receives proof that all of the City Engineer requirements have been met. An 18-month site plan extension was granted to the LDS Church to construct a permanent Seminary Building. The Church is not able to commit at this time to construction of a building within the next 18 months, so the extension will allow time to determine if the Seminary population increases. Once their membership reaches 125 students consistently for 6 months to a year, the Church will consider constructing a permanent building. Discussion occurred on two different Ordinances; one amending Commercial and Manufacturing Zoning Regulations, and the other amending Subdivision Regulations. Both were recommended for approval bv the City Council. Commission and staff follow-up included a request for further research into the dark sky lighting ordinance; questions from a resident regarding the outcome of concerns expressed in a previous meeting about the proposed Lazy Acres subdivision; pending CCR's and escrow for the Upland Ranches subdivision; and the announcement that the former Morris Meadows is now under contract for development of a 10-lot subdivision, Muslim Mosque and school. City Council Meeting, May 19. 2016 New Business Licenses were reviewed for Chartwell Staffing Solutions, Shoelace Consulting, Intermountain Gourmet and RL Property Management. Mayor Butler presented the financial report and reviewed it with the City Council. A Public Hearing was held on the Sanitary Sewer Management Plan, with no public comments being offered. Ordinance 2016-2 was adopted and approved unanimously by Council members. A Public Hearing was held on adoption of an updated Secondary Water Impact and Transportation Impact Fees, but no public comment was offered. Mr. Morris reviewed the adopting and impact fee enactment, stating that due to growth and development activity within the City, additional demand and need for public infrastructure facilities will increase. This in turn will create a need to enforce an impact fee, as each development should be required to pay a proportionate share of the cost. Ordinance 2016- 03 passed unanimously. Resolution 2016-D approving an Interlocal agreement with Weber County for a RAMP grant for the historic Smout Cabin, and approving a contract with Randy West Construction and Bob Taylor for the relocation and restoration of the cabin passed unanimously. Resolution 2016-E approving an agreement with Weber County for local transportation funds to relocate and reconstruct Pioneer Road near the Plain City border was approved unanimously. |
