Show The Pioneer Post Volume XVIII Issue 3 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter March 2016 1570 West 400 North - Phone 801-627-1919 - www.marriott-slaterville.org FO Mayor's Message I have watched in sadness the news about the lead contaminated water in Flint, Michigan, and I think how very fortunate we are to have Bona Vista Water Improvement District. Bona Vista serves Plain City, Harrisville, Marriott-Slaterville, and Farr West. I have served on the Bona Vista Board of Trustees for many years and can tell you we have safe water. The work of local govemment is not the pomp, circumstance, and popularity contests that you see in the National Election Debates. Cities and special districts quietly do our job without recognition so that when you get up in the moming you have safe water .0 drink, a sanitary sewer system to prevent disease, garbage collection from your home, roads to drive to work, law enforcement to keep us safe, places to enjoy and recreate, and many other services. Unfortunately, cities and special distircts have little influence over the problems caused by the air pollution, especially that caused by the inversion. If you have interest in making a difference in limiting air pollution, please contact your state legislators.
