CR/NC courses require a "C" or better to receive credit. Respiratory Therapy is an approved minor for the following bachelor degrees: Health Services Administration Health Education Health Promotion Long-Term Care Administration Technical Sales Respiratory Therapy may also be used as an area of concentration for the B. Entry-Level Respiratory Therapy practitioner (technician) » Program Prerequisite: Completion of all prerequisite courses with a grade of "C" or better ("C-" or CR of not acceptable in prerequisite courses). Completion of application/selection process. ResThy 140 or current CPR certification at the BLS-C level. (See Admission Requirements below.) » Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in each course required by this program (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable). CR/ NC courses in this program require a grade of "C" or better to receive credit. Successful completion of comprehensive summative examination is required for program completion. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 93 credit hours is required for graduation — 55 of these must be ResThy credit hours. File Program Application in the College of Health Professions Admissions Office on or before March 1 of each year. Program selection criteria include cumulative GPA, prerequisite GPA, completion of Respiratory Therapy application process (including hospital visitation), previous healthcare experience, and formal Selection Committee interview. Selection into therapist program is prioritized as follows: 1) Continuing WSU technician graduates; 2) Returning WSU technician graduates; 3) transferring technician graduates.
