Taggart, celebrated their 50th wedding anniver‘sary July 1986 with their 14 grandchildren in Cody, Wyo. They have three daughters and one son. Dr. Nile Dale Meservy, associate. professor and coordinator of the baccalaureate certificate social work program at Utah State University, is one of 37 people nationwide awarded a certificate of merit for Outstanding Academic Advising Achievement. The award is co-sponsored by the American College Testing program and National Academic Advising Association. ‘60 Dan Hinckley is a staff fish and wildlife biologist for the BLM for Montana and North and South Dakota. His national responsibilities include membership on the grizzly bear research committee and on the Rocky Mountain wolf recovery team. On a state and regional basis he _ is responsible for the Montana bald eagle working group, the peregrine falcon coordinating committee, the black-footed ferret working group, fisheries, the riparian coordinator and charter co-chairman of the Montana Riparian Association. He and his wife Rae Johnson, class of '63, currently reside in Billings, Mont. ‘65 Ruth E. Turner has received a research and program grant from the Educational Foundation of the American Association of University Women. Ms. Turner used the $299 grant as a travelship to attend the “Equity by 2000” conference that was held in October in Washington, D.C. eA Ronald D. Phillips is currently attending the University of South Carolina where he is working towards a MSPH in environmental science with a concentration in air pollution and hazardous waste disposal. He has also completed graduate studies in personnel management and public health, and has attended the U.S. Army Airborne School Special Forces School. He is active in the U.S. Army with the rank of captain in the Medical Service Corps, where his assignment is Environmental Science Officer. Alumnews ‘74 Clark Brown received his M.Ed. from Brigham Young University in August of last year in educational administration. He is currently teaching computer science and electronics at Provo High School. He and his wife Joyce, class of '72, have six children and reside in Provo. Thomas G. Lund has been promoted to vice president and made a partner in Smith and Kline Inc, an Oregon food broker. Tom and his wife Marylynn live with their three sons in Vancouver, Wash. H. Michael Stauffer has recently been promoted to the rank of lieutenant at the Cache County Sheriff's Office in Logan, Utah. He is in charge of all criminal patrol and investigation. He graduated from the FBI National Academy in June of 1986. '76 ‘78 Norman R. Stanley has been promoted to Product Director in the marketing department at McNeil Pharmaceutical in Spring House, Pa. Twitchell is presently working for Sperry Aerospace and Marine Group. He is a contract administrator. He and his wife, Joann, class of ‘84, live in Albuquerque, N.M. Carol Jean Faulkner Felici completed a 15 month resident program at the Air Force Institute of Ohio where she Technology in Dayton, graduated with a Master of Science degree in logistics ~anagement. She has now returned to her position as chief of the material support branch in the Intern Management Division of the Directorate of Material Management at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. Robb S. Alexander, Jr., was selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America for 1986. The distinction honors men between the ages of 21 and 36 who have distinguished themselves in such areas as service to community, professionalism, academic achievement, business advancement, cultural accomplishments and civic and political participation. Mr. Alexander will have his complete biography listed in the annual awards publication. Robin Dale (Hicks) was commissioned an officer in the U.S. Naval Reserve recently at ceremonies conducted in Greensboro, N.C.
