Lesniak is the inventory control manager of Colonial Chevrolet, one of the bigger car dealerships in the country. He is engaged to be married in the spring of 1988. He currently lives in Schaumburg, Ill. Second Lieutenant Bart W. Thomassen arrived for duty with the U.S. Army 66th Armor in West Germany. He is a former resident of Kaysville, Utah. Staff Sgt. John C. Wuiff has eared a master’s degree from Golden Gate University, in San Francisco, Calif. Wuiff completed the college studies through participation in the U.S. Air Force off-duty education program. He is an aircraft armament systems technician with the 49th Equipment Maintenance Squadron at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M. David R. Moulton was named manager of the Trolley Square area for First Security Bank of Utah. Formerly he was a consumer loan officer for the company. Carolyn John was named director of the Dayspring Chemical dependency program at McKay-Dee Hospital Center in Ogden. Todd Anderson was named manager of Foresight Financial Group, Inc. in Ogden. A registered securities representative, Anderson is also the regional investment sales coordinator for Foresight Financial’s broker/dealer, LNC Equity Sales Corporation. He is a former ASWSC president and now serves on the WSC Alumni Board of Directors. He and his wife, Jill, ‘87, currently live in Ogden. Deaths Dr. Earl Smart Dr. Earl W. Smart, an emeritus professor of zoology, died this summer of complications following surgery. He was 70 years old. Dr. Smart was a professor at Weber State for 30 years, retiring in 1985. He has served as past chairman of the zoology department and as past assistant dean in the School of Arts, Letters and Sciences. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a combat medic from March of 1941 to October of 1945. He was a member of Phi Kappa | Phi and Sigma Xi, and belonged to the American Legion and the V.F.W. Dr. Smart attended school in Salt Lake County and graduated from Granite High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1949, and his master’s degree in 1950 from the University of Utah. He eamed his Ph.D. from Utah State University in 1958. He is survived by his wife of Ogden, one son and one daughter, and three grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and four sisters. His family and colleagues in the zoology department have created an i Earl Smart Memorial Fund in his memory. Dr. Victor Hancock Name Photos are welcome and should be black duty with the Air Force’s 48th Component Repair Squadron in England. He is a squadron section commander with that squadron. Zip Dr. Victor Hancock, 88, a former chairman of the modem language department, died this summer of causes incident to age. He worked at the college for 21 years before retiring in 1967. Atthe college he taught language and also 5 judged and worked with debate teams. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University and completed his doctorate at the University of Utah. He also studied at various universities where he became fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French and German. He taught and was principal in Box Elder schools, and also taught for Weber County and Ogden City Schools. He was at Ogden High School for 13 years. He was a member of the UEA, where he had been president of the modern language section. Dr. Hancock is survived by his wife, five sons, two daughters, 36 grandchildren and 89 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, four brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild. + Sandra L. Creamer has arrived for 85 Pamela Miya, M.D. was one of 192 students to receive a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, at commencement ceremonies held last May. She will serve as a radiology residency at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, Santa Barbara, Calif. Dr. Miya is a member of the Phi Kappa Phi honor society, and the American Registry of Radiological Technologists. wa NS ® a '83 Glenn R. Hover hasbeenp tenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force. He is a weapons director at Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma assigned to the 963rd Airborne Waming and Control Squadron. oO W.
