91, 1906, In AmSterdam, Instructions Feb 9th Continued Preisthood Meeting at 10 am & 6 pm but all Elders not Mission or Conf. Presidents that wished to be was excused from attending many left. I=in meeting some points was discused no desision arrived at definatly, at 10 pm. meeting was ajurned until the following day at 7 pm. 10th On desire of Pres. Grant. a large Company went to Amsterdam, weather was very boisterous with wind & Snow, visited only a large Museum & Art Gallery having one picture for which Holland refused to take 15 Million Dollars. Saw but little of City, which contains abt ½ million people, ret. & att. meeting at night at 7 to 12 o clok. over 50 Elders reported their Labor. Also the Presidents of of The different Missions, after much talk & discusions, the following main points was desided on, for Elders not to visit much. out of the branches where they are apointed to work. & never without the consent of their President, To go to Theaters not over once a month, help all memers out of Tithing when needed, but use judgement, each Conf. to organize local tract societies. Elders should not run in debt. for books or tracts, at most not over 2 months, preach Tithing, gentle, Elders should not promise to write Letters to frinds, as they often failed to do it. & much harm was the result. have honest conversations, & report only 1 no matter 92, conference, at Delshavn Church in Roterdam, At Berlin 10th how many listeners. Work for results, & not record. men should not have thier Wifes come until they were released. or had been in the field at least 2 years. Should work honest 8 hours a day. 11th short report from the Swish, German, Swedish & Skandinavian mission also the Netherland. from reports. it showed that the Skandinavians & Swedis did not do the work that the other mission did in tracting, which run from 300 to 1000 Tracts pr month pr Elder, but in Babtisms there was not much difference. 11th Meeting in general Hall at 10 am & 2 pm. Authorities sustained, Preaching & short Testimonies at 8 pm. A large Hall was well filled over 700 beeing present. attentive & inteligent good spirrit 12th at 10 am. Preisthood. Meeting. Pres. Grant used most time in encouraging the Elders. at 2 p.m. the whole camp, went to the Old Church. where we sang Hymns & Pres. Grant spoke a few minutes. & a Picture was taken of the whole Company & also some local people that droped in. I was impresed that the Duch people are a good Strong god fearing people 13th 6:50 am. took leave of Pres. Grant & Elder Franjen & took train for Berlin, arr. at 6:50 pm. Took back for L.D.S. quarters Kirchback Street 4 The Elders were out to a babtism. on their return
