Graduation f :h Weber State College grants the degrees of Bachelor of Arts Bachelor of Science, and titles of Associate of Arts, Associate o Science, a Certificate of Completion, and a Certificate of Proficiency. For a student to be admitted to candidacy for any degree or title, his scholastic record must show that he has satisfied the entrance requirements and that he can fulfill the requirements for graduation upon the completion of the courses for which he hasp* registered. No credit obtained prior to the time his college stand ing was established may be used toward graduation. Military Training Credit—Students having completed 24 or iiore months of active military service are granted a maximum of 13 credit hours towards graduation. These credits are granted in e following areas: 3 credit hours in Physical Education, 2 in Health Education, and 8 are counted as electives toward gradua- :ion. Grade Requirements—A student's scholastic record must show that he has an average of not less than "C", an average grade ■>■ point of at least 2.0 in all his registered work. Credit Restrictions—Not more than 30 quarter hours of "D" grade credit may be applied toward graduation. However, the school or department may reject any or all "D" grade work toward the major or minor requirements. Not more than 45 of the total hours required for the baccalaureate degree may be correspondence credit. All "incompletes" must be removed at least four weeks prior to graduation. Residence Requirement—A candidate for any degree or title must be registered at the College during at least one quarter following the last commencement prior to his graduation. Change in Graduation Requirements—A student normally is held to the requirements outlined in the catalog published four years before the year of his graduation. Application for Graduation—A candidate for the bachelor egree must file a written application for graduation obtained at he Graduation Office during the Spring Quarter of his junior year. Each applicant will receive a written report on his standing for graduation upon which to plan the work for his senior year. A andidate for the title of Associate of Arts or Science, or for the ertificate of Completion or for the Certificate of Proficiency must ile a written application for graduation with the Graduation Office lot later than the sixth week of the Autumn Quarter. Applications vill not be considered within the last few weeks before Commence- nent, unless special permission is given by the Dean of Admissions md Records. A candidate for graduation must pay his graduation fee at he Cashier's Office at the time he is making application for gradu- ition. A candidate is required to be present at Baccalaureate and ommencement Exercises unless excused by the Dean of his school and the President of the College. Application for such excuse should be addressed in writing to the appropriate dean of lis school. Honors at Graduation—A candidate who has completed retirements for graduation at Weber State College and whose ratio n all registered work is not less than 3.8 is awarded high honors magna cum laude); a student whose ratio in all his registered vork is not less than 3.4 is awarded honors (cum laude).
