Show Services of the College Services of the College Applications, Procedures, and Policies—Interested students are invited to visit with or direct inquiries and requests for applications to the Director of Housing, Weber State College, Ogden, Utah. Upon request, an application and housing information will be furnished. The application should then be completed and returned with a $25 deposit. This deposit will be refunded upon completion of the Annual Housing Occupancy Contract. Priority lists are based on date of receipt of application. Room assignments are normally made by the head residents prior to students arrival. Acceptance of application and advance payment does not constitute admission to the College. Application for admission to the College is made at the Admissions Office, Weber State College, Ogden, Utah. Students living in college operated residence halls agree by written contract to retain their accommodations for the academic year. If a student desires to terminate from the residence halls, he may do so provided he finds a student (other than one who has already applied for housing and is on the waiting list at the Housing Office) to take his place in the residence hall. Charges for college facilities are payable in advance. IF PAYMENTS ARE PAST DUE, THE STUDENT WILL BE RESTRICTED FROM BOARD AND ROOM SERVICES. Students who are living in the apartments and desire a transfer to board and room accommodations have first preference for occurring vacancies over students not living in the residence halls. Some students have found that when they desire apartments and one is not immediately available, it is more practical for them to accept board and room accommodations and request placement in the apartments as soon as a vacancy occurs and is available to them. Pets, explosives, alcohol, and gambling are prohibited in college residence halls. Firearms and ammunition must be stored in the gun lockers. Students are responsible for knowing specific policies related to their residence hall. Residential Housing—The Student Housing Office provides listings of facilities available in the community. The student assumes responsibility with the householder, in off-campus rentals. Charges for board and room range from $70 to $90 per month. Apartment and room only rates range from $60 to $125 per month, and $20 to $40 per month respectively. Summer Housing—The college residence halls are available to Summer School students. Reservations may be made for the full Summer Quarter or portions thereof. Both single students and families may be housed in the apartment residence halls. Please send for a Summer Housing brochure for detailed information on rates and service.
