Each year an outstanding guest conductor in the fields of band and orchestra is brought in to work with outstanding high school and junior high school students. Music teachers from the local area are employed to serve as section leaders and as coaches for the various musical instruments. Members of the Weber State College music faculty also serve in teaching classes and in working with musical organizations. Music teachers from the area and college students may register for Summer Music Festival and receive college credit. All students attending the Music Festival are expected to take part in a chorus, and the choral groups are directed by Weber State music faculty.
